How We Review and Price Robots
Our methodology for robot reviews, pricing verification, and comparison analysis.
Pricing verification
We categorize every price with a transparency label.
Verified means the price is sourced from a publicly accessible retail listing — typically Top3DShop.com, the manufacturer's official e-commerce site, or Amazon. We include the source and date of verification.
Estimated means the price is based on industry sources, distributor quotes, competitive positioning analysis, or informed estimates. We provide a range rather than a single number and clearly note the estimate.
Contact for pricing means the manufacturer does not publish pricing and we could not obtain a reliable estimate.
We re-verify all prices quarterly. If a price changes between updates, we note the previous price for reference.
Comparison methodology
Our automated comparison engine generates side-by-side pages for robot pairs based on matching criteria: same category with similar payload (within ±50%), same manufacturer lineup, or Chinese vs. Western equivalent models.
Each comparison evaluates price (lower wins), payload (higher wins), reach (longer wins), precision/repeatability (lower number wins), speed (faster wins), certifications (more comprehensive wins), and ecosystem (breadth of accessories and integrator support). The overall verdict weighs these factors based on what matters most for each robot's target application.
Independence
RobotSourced does not accept payment from manufacturers for reviews, rankings, or favorable placement. When we recommend a product, it's because the specifications, pricing, and certifications support the recommendation. We disclose any affiliate relationships where they exist and they never influence editorial content or rankings.
